Take a look at this page—anything missing? This is the third issue of Lumen and we still have not heard a single word from any of the Viterbo community. Are there just no issues going on right now that anyone cares about? I sure hope not.
There are many issues affecting Viterbo alone, such as a possible smoke-free campus and the continuing housing shortage. Are any students being affected by the economy that they can't afford to go to school here? Is there something you wish would change at Viterbo but not sure how to initially address the problem? There are also many state and national debates going on right now that our generation should be aware of, like the health care reform debate. If we don't get informed on the issues and voice our opinions and concerns, nothing can change.
Don't get in the habit of just letting things pass you by, especially policies and issues that will affect your life. Let Lumen hear your voice! Submit a letter to the editor, write an article as a guest columnist, or even let us know what stories you want to be reading.
